South Carolina Oceanfront

Daufuskie enjoys four miles of unspoiled and often unoccupied beach.  Trail rides are still a possibility along the South Carolina oceanfront and community bonfires with oysters and s'mores are common.  Dolphins frequent the shores, and crabs are often found in the tide pools at low tide.  The has united to protect the endangered sea turtles: we nurtured 58 of their nests in 2008 alone.  Whether you wish to hunt for Indian pottery, colonial china, shells or fossil shark teeth, Daufuskie's sand awaits you.  If you seek a sun-filled day of frolic or fishing, pack your golf cart and come along.
